ABC-30, KFSN-TV Fresno, CA, October 5, 2007
"Parents of a valley soldier killed in Iraq aren't happy with a judge's ruling in their son's murder case.  The family is now seeking help... Airman First Class Carl Ware was a military police officer with the 15th security forces squadron... But it wasn't enemy fire that killed Ware on July 1st 2006, it was a fellow soldier... Since the news of their son's death Carl and Rosealie Ware, of Dinuba, felt something wasn't right with the details of the shooting.  So the Ware's hired an attorney to find evidence to help reopen the case.  [Gerald] Schwab, Ware's Attorney, says 'The bureaucracy of the military can be very difficult to overcome but we're ready to do it.'"

Empty Grave May Lead To a Potential Lawsuit
ABC-30, KFSN-TV Fresno, CA, December 22, 2008
"93-year-old Hermina Zamora had a heart attack and died in 2005.  Hermina Zamora was buried at the Mendocino Cemetery in Parlier.  Her children became suspicious when they found Zamora's grave marker somewhere the family didn't ask for their mother to be buried... Lara (Zamora's daughter) said workers searched and discovered a body a few feet from where Zamora should be.  Home video captured in December by the family shows an attempt to exhume that body.  Lara claimed the cemetery wanted to cover up the problem and had plans to store whatever was found in a nearby shed... The family hired Attorney Gerald Schwab to file a lawsuit against the Mendocino Cemetary.  Shwab:  'These cemeteries don't abide by people's religious beliefs and they need to.  It's very important to people how their loved ones are buried.'"

Girl, 14, Held in Slaying of Mother and Boyfriend
Los Angeles Times, March 11, 2006
"The teenager's lawyer called the investigators' handling of the case, and of his client, atrocious' and 'beyond shocking.' Attorney Gerald Schwab Jr. said Brittany Norris was held for hours and questioned without having an attorney or family member present.

"'They badgered her and manipulated her,' Schwab said, describing his client as an honor student reeling from the death of her mother. "She's terrified and in shock, and now they're saying she's confessed.'"
